Description:

New installation of a single-effect vacuum evaporator fed with hot water at 80°C from a cogeneration plant and a cooling tower in closed circuit. The evaporator was installed for the treatment and waste disposals reduction of acid waste water from the production of silicon semiconductors. Waste water highly acidic containing a mixture of acids like hydrofluoric acid. The evaporator has a maximum treatment capacity of 16.000 lt/day and it is constructed with special materials and alloys resistant to higly acidic solutions. The plant is provided also with an inline instrument for the measurement of Fluorides on the distilled water produced by the evaporator.
