Description:
In the aluminum quenching process using molten salt bath, the washing water gradually becomes enriched with salts. To maintain system efficiency, it must be discharged once it reaches a certain conductivity threshold.
To achieve a Zero Discharge System, enabling the recovery of both water and sodium nitrate as a secondary raw material, an evaporation and crystallization system has been installed.
The goal is to recover sodium nitrate for reintegration into the molten salt bath and distilled water for the washing tanks. The treatment process consists of two phases:
Vacuum evaporation with the EV300 heat pump, which recovers 90% of distilled water, increasing the salt concentration in the brine.
Atmospheric crystallization with the CV30HW thermal oil system, ensuring the salt has a residual moisture content below 5%.
This system guarantees sustainability, waste reduction, and process optimization.
Technical characteristics:
Capacity of 7.000 Lt/day
Low temperature evaporation
Atmospheric crystallizer with thermal oil
Automatic salt discharge with clapet valve
Highlights:
Distillate water recovery >90%
Nitrate salts recovery as secondary raw material
Zero Liquid Discharge
Salt residual moisture <5%
